Parents-Teachers Meetings
The objective of this meet was for parents to interact constructively with teachers with a view to exchange ideas and information and most importantly discuss the progress of their wards. In addition to meeting these objectives, we as teachers have an enjoyable time talking to parents about various issues. All the parents were very much satisfied with the progress that is being achieved and also expressed enthusiasm in the creative ways of teaching that are being pursued at the school.

14 th November

What can be more important for a play school than the celebration of children’s day, a day named in the honour of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, whose love for children was nothing short of monumental. As part of the cultural performances of the day, the children in their own cute & bubbly manner acted out three rhymes. A play titled ‘Doctor’s advice’ was enacted entirely by the children. It dealt with the importance of taking in wholesome food. It is particularly noteworthy that each and every child was involved in some or the other activity. At the end of the day, prizes were distributed to all the children.

Vinayak Chaturthi
Clad in traditional Indian attire, the kids took active part in the proceedings of the day. A ‘pooja’ was performed to please Lord Ganesh and the consecrated offering ‘prasad’ was later on distributed. Having learnt some part of the procedure involved in performing the ceremony, the children were then drawn into singing ‘bhajans’. The significance of the day and of the deity has been explained to the children through the narration of various relevant stories. The importance of having to sit through the entire procedure with interest, reverence and patience has been conveyed to the children.

15th August
The usual ceremony of flag hoisting accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem was undertaken on this day. The various colours and aspects of the National flag were touched upon and their significance elaborated. A fancy dress competition was held in which most of the children turned up to represent some of our most illustrious national heroes & freedom fighters like Jhansi Lakshmi, Jawaharlal Nehru and so on… The competition was immediately followed by an awards distribution ceremony. The parents were also exhorted to take an active role on this day and the honour of hoisting the flag was given to the parent whose child was the first to have joined our small and vibrant institution.
Christmas Day
Last year’s Christmas day saw frantic activity with a number of adorable little little Santas busily bedecking the Christmas tree with baubles and other decorative items. The arrival of the baby Jesus was celebrated by cutting a cake and by singing carols. The children had a memorable time singing and dancing
Field Trip
The children were all taken out for the day to visit Lumbini park. Under the watchful eye of the teachers they splashed about in the water pool and the other water rides. It was a well orchestrated picnic with the needs of the children and their safety well taken care of. The children had a whale of a time thoroughly enjoying themselves on their day to out.
